Evergreen Memories Team CTMH New Catalog Swap Blog Hop!

Hi, everyone, and welcome to the Evergreen Memories Team CTMH new catalog blog hop!  I'm so excited to be a part of this amazingly talented group!  You see, when I decided to sign up as a consultant, I couldn't find anyone around here to sign up under.  I had already discovered Lalia Harris' blog, Crafty Lalia, and discovered that she is very talented and super nice!  So I signed up under her.  Unfortunately for me, she lives in Washington State!  But when Evergreen Memories organized a swap, I wanted to participate.  If you're coming here from Lalia's blog, then you are in the right place!

I chose Wanderful, because I love maps and travel themes.  We were to do one single page LO and 3 cards.

on my LO I used Colonial White for the base.  Other CS is Crystal, Flaxen, Gypsy, and Smoothie.  Ink used are Honey, Gypsy, Crystal, and Black.  Stamp sets are the Wanderful WOTG stamp set and Here We Go.  I used the CTMH Artbooking cartridge for the Cricut shapes.  I'm very pleased with how this turned out!  Other elements from the WOTG kit are the arrow washi tape and the silver metal circle.

This card uses Smoothie and Colonial White CS and Crystal, Gypsy and Black ink.  Stamp is Here We Go.  I used the arrow washi tape and a purple glitter gem.

Here I used Lagoon and Col. White CS and Black ink.  Stamp set is Geek is Chic, which may be my very FAVORITE new stamp set!  The ribbon is the black striped twill.

Here is my last card.  It uses Gypsy and Col. White CS and Gypsy and Black ink.  I used Frame Flair for the frame, Celebrate from the Cricut Art Philosophy Collection, and the balloon string from the Cricut Artiste Collection.  I cut the pennant and label shape from Art Philosophy and the balloon from Artiste.

I had my new catalog Open House yesterday and showed off all my lovely swaps, which you can see on this blog hop.  Everyone loved them and wanted to sign up for many workshops, so I'm a happy girl.

Thanks for dropping by!  The next blog on the hop is the amazing Gail Hopkins

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge # 226: Make a project for a kid

Happy Monday and welcome to another Monday challenge!

Just a quick run down of the rules:

You may add up to 3 unique projects that meet the challenge criteria

You must use at least 1 Cricut cut, after that anything goes, stamps, svg's, etc.

Challenge #226 Kids Theme

This Weeks Sponsor
1 Stamp set to the winner
US only
~This Weeks Challenge~
Kids Theme
Create a project for kids

To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used.

Here is my Project:

This cute little bison on skates is from Birthday Bash, one of my all-time favorite Cricut cartridges.  It has SO many cute things on it.  This is the first time I've ever used the bison though.  I mounted him on an Action Wobble, available from Close To My Heart.  When you touch him, he wobbles, just like a real bison would do if you put him on skates!

The card base is Tangerine Tango and the paper is Retro Fresh, both SU.  The bison is cut at 4".  I used Aqua Dots from CTMH on his skates, and the stamp and embossing folder are also CTMH.

Thanks for dropping by today, and don't forget to link up your project to the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog for your chance to win a cool prize!  The rules are listed above.

I hope everyone has a wonderful week!

FCCB Challenge #222--Bug Out!

Happy Monday and welcome to another Monday challenge!

Challenge #222 Bug Out

Jaded Blossom

Winner will receive the Bug a Boo Stamp set
~This Weeks Challenge~
Bug Out
Create a project that uses a bug

To qualify for the prize, be sure to use at least 1 Cricut cut on your project and if it's not obvious, let us know what cartridge you used.

Confession time--I geek out over bugs!  Cricut bugs that is!  There are scads of great bug cuts on many, many Cricut cartridges, but I decided to pull out an oldie but a goodie--Stretch Your Imagination.  I think it was the first cart I bought after I got my Cricut.  I don't use it much anymore, although it has tons of cute images, but I remembered this particular one and wanted to use it.

I cut the two layers at 4.5" tall.  I used a green Cricut marker to add a little definition.  It's hard to tell in the photo, but I offset the top blade of grass layer.

Am I capable of using a bug on something without putting googly eyes on it?  Why NO!  I am not.  I also used green flock on his antennae.

I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder, sponged it, and fussy cut the top of the grass stems.  The sentiment is from a very old SU set.

I hope you've enjoyed my creation today.  Please play along with us this week!  It's easy--just create a project with a bug on it, using at least one Cricut cut, and upload it to the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog.

Thanks for dropping by--have a great week!
