FCCB Challenge # 202: Pinch Me! Use Green

Good morning everyone, and yes, I know it's St. Patrick's Day, but that's never really been my kind of holiday, so I thought I'd get a head start on Easter instead.  Spring is really the main thing--I think we're all ready for it!  This week's sponsor is Mark's Finest Papers and Stamps!

I decided to make a shaped card using shapes from the Easter 2010 cartridge.  I welded 2 5.5" scalloped egg shapes together to form the card base.  For the glittery white frame, I used the same scalloped egg shape, with a slightly smaller egg shape centered inside (NOT welded) to cut out the hole in the frame.  I resized the plain egg shape to be just a little larger but still smaller than the scalloped egg shape for my patterned layer.  It's from SU's Watercolor Wonder DP in their Occasions Mini--isn't it the cutest?  Perfect for an Easter egg!

Happy Easter is cut from the CTMH Artbooking cartridge.  The bunny is 1.75" from Easter 2010, and the grass is punched with a MS border punch.  The little flowers are punched with a SU punch and I added a touch of orange glitter to the centers.  I put white flock on the bunny's tail, but you can hardly tell--should have done another layer!

Here's the open view.  Colors are Wild Wasabi, Daffodil Delight, Pretty in Pink, Creamy Caramel, and Bashful Blue.  I popped up the sentiment on foam tape.  Thanks for dropping by today!

To win a fabulous stamp set from MFP, simply make a project using the color green and at least one Cricut image.  If it isn't obvious, let us know what cartridge it's from!  Then upload it to Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog--that's all there is to it!

Thanks for dropping by today, and I hope it's spring wherever you are!

FCCB Challenge # 200--Pick a Holiday

Hello, everyone!  Today's challenge over at FCCB is to pick a holiday--including birthdays!  So I made up a few with this cute (retired) SU patterned paper, called Patio Party.  All the shapes are from the CTMH Artiste cartridge.  Most of the stamps are CTMH as well, except for the first card.  The little banner stamp is from the SU Sale-a-Bration set Banner Blast.

Colors are Summer Starfruit, Midnight Muse, Primrose Petals, and Baja Breeze.

I used the butterfly Embosslit from SU for the butterflies.

To play along with today's challenge, simply pick a holiday and make an item--card, scrapbook page, box, what-have-you, and be sure to include at least ONE Cricut cut.  Then upload your fantabulous creation to FCCB.  Thanks for dropping by today!
