Heart and Soul

Our United Methodist Women's group is holding its second annual women's spiritual retreat.  I designed the registration brochures we sent out, and then we made a bulletin board at the church to match.  I cut out the letters using my Cricut and SCAL.  The font is Love, and I haven't been able to locate it on any free font sites, so maybe I bought it somewhere, I have no idea.  Usually buying fonts is against my principals.  The artwork in the corner is some free clipart that I found via Google.

We are doing a program called Soul Collage, which is a registered trademark, but I can't find the symbol on blogger.  You make 5 x 7 collage cards that inspire you.  Sounds like fun to me!

Birthday Cupcake

I used my Cricut Artiste and stamps from Close to My Heart to create this card.  The stamps that coordinate with cuts list the page # and the size to cut at in order to use the stamps.  Pretty convenient!

Embossed the BG with a CB folder.  Colored a pearl with a red Sharpie for the cherry.  Sponged the embossed panel and the DP with Chocolate Chip.  Card base is Pink Pirouette.

The inside stamp is from the same CTMH set.  I thought it was a really cute sentiment.

Thanks for looking!

Cute Shaped Valentine

Actually, this will probably wind up being a birthday card.

Card measures about 5.25 x 3.5.  I used Create a Critter 2 and welded 2 shadow cuts together for the base.  Then I cut the layers and added them to the card.   Base is PTI, all other is SU.

I love making shape cards and am really pleased with how this one turned out.  Thanks for dropping by today.

More digi Valentines from Cricut

This first card is cut from Lemon Tart by PTI and backed with black glitter paper.

This one is cut from SU Basic Black and backed with Lemon Tart embossed with a Cuttlebug folder.

And here they are together.  I really like these but I can't decide which is my fave.

Which one do you like best?

Another Easy Cricut Valentine

Card base is SU shimmery white.  Again designed with CCR (no not the band, though I'm probably showing my age for even mentioning that lol) and A2 sized.  Thanks for dropping by!

Cricut Valentine

Cricut has some great digital valentines.  They had them for %25 off so I bought a few.  Here is a sassy one I made using black and coral glitter paper.  Card was designed in Cricut Craft Room and is standard A2.  Thanks for looking--have a great day!

Thanks Snow Much!

Oh, how the stamping world loves puns!  Luckily, so do I!  And the use of the words "snow" and "sew" instead of "so" come in very handy at times!

This cute snowman is from the Snow Folks cartridge.  Tag is made with SU tag punches and the sentiment is from an old SU set.  The paper is some Echo Park which I bought digitally a while back.  I just love the colors.

Thanks for dropping by!

ETA:  This card has been entered in the BBTB2 challenge for the week of Jan 28, 2013.

And Some Baby Cards...

This is an old Mojo Monday sketch that I thought would work well with this stamp and paper.  The image is long retired SU, sentiment is PTI Bitty Baby Blessing.  I made a girl and boy version.  I watercolored the images with stamp pads and an Aquapainter.

Card bases are So Saffron.  I used my Cricut to cut out the large circles for the main panel, the others are punches.

I am going to make some more of these.  I think they turned out very well.

Have a great day!

And yet another...

I found this cute paper at my LSS and used it on the frame card a couple of posts ago, but it didn't show much on those cards.  So I made a swing card.

I used a current (surprise!) SU stamp and the little doo-dahs on the sides are from PTI's square punch set.  The corners are from the Picturesque cart--not too sure about them but I felt like it needed something.

Here is how it looks partially open.  You can see the place for the signature on the inside.  Thanks for dropping by today!

Another Wedding Card

I am trying to make some wedding cards--this one is more successful than the previous ones I think!  I used last week's Mojo Monday sketch (didn't get around to getting it entered of course!) and some old SU paper.  Ink is Blushing Bride, flower is from Michaels.   I used my SU leaf sizzlit to make the leaves.  TFL!!

Wedding Window Cards

I made these cards for a challenge over at She's a Sassy Lady.  I wanted to make some wedding cards and I found some adorable DP by Pebbles at my LSS.  However, I don't really like how these turned out.  But I'm posting them anyway, as my blog is how I keep track of past projects now, failures as well as successes.  I used Elegant Edges for the card base (sized to fit a standard A2 envie) cut from PTI white.  Bride is from Wrap It Up, Best wishes is from Elegant Cake Art.  Those two Pieces were welded to the frame for the base and the card front.  Then lateral were cut and added.  Plastec from a cartridge pkg was run through a CB folder and placed between the base and card front to create a window.

Valentine Swing Card

Yesterday, after spending all day helping Ems learn to sew (more on that at a later date!),  I went down to the stamp room for some much needed rest and relaxation (after a much needed glass of wine--sewing isn't my forte, and TEACHING someone to sew, well, let's just say it was a little less than relaxing.).

I made another swing card.  Card is from Artiste, layers are from Art Philosophy.  Little hearts are from an SU Sizzlits embossing die, and I used an SU border punch.  DP and all CS is also SU.  Stamp is from PTI's Mega Mixed Messages.

I embossed the red frame with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder.

Here is the inside.  Hard to see but there are some silver heart brads in the upper and lower right corner--think they came from HL.  I love this old SU Valentine paper--it's just so snazzy.

Today, it being New Year's Day and all, I am going to sit down and do some scrapbooking.  It's so easy to sit down and bang out a card that that is all I have been doing lately, but the whole reason I got into papercrafting in the first place was to scrapbook pix of my beautiful children, so I'm going to try to get more of that done this year.  I'm pretty terrible at keeping resolutions, but at least I'm off to a good start!  Wish me luck!
